  Clean bathrooms - clean sites - you do share a driveway with another camper but don't have to face each other - $32 for electric sites with no extra frills.

  You definitely need to like trains to stay there (I do). The trains blow the horns in a large part to warn the bears who often frequent the tracks looking for spilt grain.

  This was one of my favorite stays in Glacier. Don't worry about the no bonfire sites, you don't need a fire to enjoy the outdoors!

  We stayed here in early January while visiting Alberta to ski Lake Louise and Sunshine, as well as Tunnel Mountain Campground in Banff. We found this campground to be nicer than Tunnel Mountain. The biggest plus for us was the showers are in the same building as restrooms, at least the washroom we stayed next to. And the washrooms were nicer and more updated in general. The other plus of Lake Louise Campground is they offer a cheaper rate if you do not need electric hookup, which we did not. Tunnel Mountain doesn’t (that we can tell) offer this.

  We pulled up hoping they might have an opening during Peak Season, and they did! We were very pleased, and we pulled into our spot which was right next to the bathrooms (which was actually very nice as we were close to the wash station and the garbage bins, and it did not smell at all) and then left for a days adventure up at Lake Louise. We drove to the Lake and waited for a parking spot (only took 5 minutes). We then went back to the campsite and noticed someone had taken our towels that we left hanging to dry. I went to take a shower and there was a massive line, and the water was FREEZING! I hopped in and out really quick. When I got back to the site my boyfriend informed me that a nice man had taken our towels thinking we had abandoned them and then brought them back to us (after he used them to wash dishes). We had dinner, had easy access to the washing station (which had a line), and my boyfriend went to take a shower later (he had hot water of course). We would stay here again, and we did not hear the trains at all (I sleep very lightly and I did not hear one, but maybe we were lucky that night).

  We liked being so close to Lake Louise and the small town but, as previous reviews say, the trains were just to much.

  Been to Lake Louise many times and it is starting to show its age. The dump station had no potable water so there was a RV traffic jam at the shower station much of the time. Not the best situation.

  The sites are dual sites, built before the larger units with slides galore so if you r the second unit in , it can be a squeeze. Late time big unit arrivals not recommended if you cannot see well in the dark. The turns are tight.

  If quiet is priority 1, best consider staying in Banff.

  Folks need to remember that this is a national park and preservation of wildlife is a critical component of park management.
